Come and See | John 1:43–51
What happens when Jesus calls you to follow Him?
In John 1, we see Philip encounter Jesus, immediately go find Nathanael, and invite him with three simple words: “Come and see.”
Nathanael is skeptical. He has questions. He isn't convinced that anything good could come from Nazareth. But instead of arguing with him, Philip simply invites him to encounter Jesus for himself.
In this message, we look at how Jesus:
- Seeks us
- Addresses our skepticism
- Knows us completely
- Invites us into greater things
And ultimately, we have to ask ourselves:
Are we seeking Jesus, or are we simply seeking His hand?
Maybe you've never truly encountered Jesus. Maybe you've followed Him for years but have realized you've been more interested in what He can give you than in who He is.
Wherever you are, Jesus is inviting you:
Come and see.
